Change the world one door at a time! Help us create more awareness all across the Twin Cities by hanging door hangers to promote Bridging. Bridging provides the door hangers and you provide the volunteers. No doorbell ringing involved! We help you determine the geographical boundaries. Best of all, your group can be any size and it’s a great event for volunteers of all ages.
Bridging, a nonprofit organization serving the greater Twin Cities, is the largest furniture bank in North America. Through the effective reuse of donated items, Bridging improves lives by providing quality furniture and household goods to those transitioning out of homelessness and poverty. Description
Bridging, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the greater Twin Cities, is the largest furniture bank in North America. Providing furniture and household goods to families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness and poverty, Bridging gives hope-and for many-a leap toward financial stability for the first time. With locations in Bloomington and Roseville, Bridging is driven by volunteers and donations of furniture and household goods from the community. Since 1987, Bridging has furnished over 75,000 homes, and every year, reduces landfill space by 11 million pounds.
To serve as many people in need as possible, we work with a network of over 140 nonprofit organizations and social service agency partners who refer clients to us. These partners verify there is a need with each household before they walk through our doors.
