We have volunteer opportunities that allow volunteers to provide patient support to patient's in a nursing home or home setting, administrative volunteers that provide any administrative assistance in our office they feel comfortable offering, and craft volunteers who may offer anything from a casserole to a knitted lap blanket.

Description
Hospice is a philosophy of care, not a place. Normally a patient on hospice has been determined to have a lifespan of 6 months or less if the condition or disease that is present runs its normal course. Hospice does not focus on curing the patient, but instead puts the focus on treating the symptoms so the patient may pass as pain free as possible, with as much dignity as possible, and in as little pain as is possible, while passing in the setting the patient and family prefer.
