Sometimes friends and even family visit less often when a person is nearing the end of life. Hospice volunteers show patients that they still have value, are still loveable, no matter what. This is the true measure of friendship and what hospice volunteerism is all about. Volunteers visit patients in homes, assisted living and nursing facilities or sit with patients while family takes a much-needed break from caregiving. Friendly visiting, emotional support, memory stimulation through acoustic music or painting, non-traditional clowning; we have a place for your gifts and interests. Or serve in an administrative role in the hospice office. You'll be richly rewarded with purpose, meaning and joy in this privileged service. Adult, teen and family volunteer programs available in Tarrant and Hood Counties.

Mission Statement
Our role at Interim HealthCare Hospice is to support our patients and families as they approach the end of life. We will help them understand the choices open to them and work to support them in their decisions. We will provide personalized care, coordinating the services that will make them safe and comfortable. We encourage contacts with friends and families that allow important things to be spoken, remembered and celebrated. Our focus will be to meet physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our clients and those who love and care for them
