The Salvation Army in East Orange is currently looking for volunteer Office Assistants who can commit to volunteering at least one business day per week. Duties include: file creation, filing, making copies, helping with mailings and may include returning phone calls etc.
Volunteer must be able to work with a diverse group of people and be able to work in a busy office environment. Volunteer should also have good manners and a friendly demeanor; speak, read and write english; be neat in appearance; be service oriented and reliable. Volunteer should also be very detailed oriented. Volunteers who are bi-lingual would be useful.
This volunteer position is Tuesday through Friday from 9am-4pm however shifts are available if you cannot commit to a full day.

Description
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division has been assisting New Jersey residents since 1880. Services and programs include food for the hungry, companionship to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter for the homeless, food pantry/feeding programs, opportunities for underprivileged children, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled and many more services for those in need.
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division currently has 28 Corps Worship & Community Centers throughout the State, 65 Service Units, adult rehabilitation centers, a residential camp and an active Emergency Disaster Services program.
