Are you great with organization and attention to detail, and want to use those skills to help children and families who are struggling?

Children's Home & Aid's Community Child Care Center of Palatine Township is requesting a volunteer who could help answer phones, file, make copies, help with newsletters and flyers, address envelopes, organize, greet visitors, and do data entry in order to make sure our clients are receiving the best treatment possible.

Early Childhood Care Education is one of Children’s Home Aid’s largest programs, providing Early Head Start, Head Start, Preschool for All, Home Based Care, and Child Resource & Referral programs . The agency’s Early Childhood Centers p rovide childcare, education, health services and meals to children aged six weeks to six years old from approximately 7:00am to 6:00pm each day. The Centers provide priority enrollment to children considered at - risk, including children of adolescent parent s, victims of child abuse and/or neglect, and children from very low - income households. Approximately 98% of families served earn below $25,000 per year, w ith over 30% earn ing less than $15,000 annually.

Volunteers will gain resume enhancing experience with administrative duties and the day-to-day running of an Early Childhood Center and Preschool, and the knowledge that they are helping to provide quality education to those who need it most.

Volunteers are needed:

1 (or more) days/week

3 or more hours per day.

Volunteers can come any between 9 and 5, Monday - Friday.

A 4 month or longer commitment is desired.
