The Community Childcare Center of Palatine Township is looking for a volunteer to help our cook do grocery shopping. The cook is currently shopping for a center that serves over 130 children between 6 weeks - 6 years old receiving Child Care and Preschool for All programming at our center. The cook does not need anyone to take over this duty, but could use assistance with the shopping to get things done more quickly, and particularly with the loading and unloading of the groceries from the vehicle.

Volunteers would need to be willing to meet at Dominicks (at the corner of Euclid and Quentin Rds.) at 6:30am on Monday mornings. The cook tries to have all the groceries back to the center to be unloaded by 7:45, and ideally the volunteer could follow her there and would be finished unloading around 8am.

Volunteers would need to be:

-Efficient

-Able to lift heavy bags of groceries

-Willing to work WITH the cook to complete this already established task.

Couponers are certainly welcome - any money we can save will go back into providing services for the children we serve!
