We are currently seeking loving people willing to open their hearts and homes to high school foreign exchange students.

Host families provide the students with room and board. The students require their own beds, but a student may share a bedroom with a sibling of the same gender. Volunteer host families provide the students with meals, but the students have their own insurance and spending money for all other expenses such as school lunches, going out with friends, sports and school supplies, travel, etc. GESS does not discriminate, and we encourage all people to apply. We have had great success with traditional and non-traditional family units including retired couples, young couples, domestic partners, singles, multi-generational families, etc. All of our students can speak English and have gone through an extensive application/in-home interview process as well as an orientation in their home country. Host Families and students are supported by GESS through Local Coordinators during the exchange.
