Mission Statement

The TecH2O Water Reousrce Learning Center provides education and training to foster the understanding and appreciatieon of total water management in the Chihuhuahuan Desert.

Description

The 30,450 square foot TecH2O Water Resource Learning Center is adjacent to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Desalination Plant. We educate visitors from near and far about El Paso's water resources and El Paso Water's role in managing our most important resource. Volunteers amplify the message that water conservation is essential to the sustainability of our desert community and the responsibility of every El Pasoan. Over the last 5 years, volunteers have helped El Paso Water share messages of water conservation with more than 14,000 educators and students through field trips, virtual presentations, workshops, and outreach events. We estimate that this has saved over 15.4 million gallons of water in this time.
