Iracambi Rainforest Research Center is looking for help with business planning! We're creating a program whereby Brazilian and international students can work together on science, language and intercultural communications: an opportunity for students from the Global North to join Brazilian students in a residential program here in the rainforest. We plan to seek corporate sponsorship for both Brazilian and international students and we see this is a way for Northern and Southern students to gain leadership skills as they live the paradox that is reconciling biodiversity conservation with sustainable development in one of the world's most important biodiversity hotspots.
We need a business plan that we can submit to local, national and transnational corporations seeking their sponsorship to enable young people to develop the skills and confidence to take their part in caring for the forests, soils, water and clean air on which depend our common future.
This could be a remote volunteering opportunity, or we'd be happy to have you on site. If you choose to visit, we can offer you board and lodging but you will need a) time, b) an airticket and c) a visa.
