Do you enjoy designing an amazing website user-experience? Come help make equal access to justice in our community a reality by assisting Eastside Legal Assistance Program (ELAP) with our online presence and promote our mission to serve low income residents of the Eastside and survivors of domestic violence from all of King County. Since 1989, ELAP has provided Eastside residents with a variety of civil case services enabling equal access to justice including, one-on-one legal clinics, unbundled legal services, brief services and community education seminars.
Your role as ELAP Webmaster will be to maintain and improve the ELAP website allowing for an improved user-experience.
Duties:
- Update content for the ELAP website as needed.
- Debug issues that arise with the performance of the ELAP website.
- Troubleshoot the site to ensure content, links and application flows operate optimally.
- Install Google Analytics.
- Review statistics and monitor analytics ensuring healthy operation of the ELAP website.
- Communicate statistics and analytics to Executive Director.
- Maintain responsive design by staying up to date on the web’s latest technologies allowing for mobile and user-friendliness along with multi-platform performance.
- Convert site to mobile device friendly site and maintain integration between regular website and mobile device friendly site
- Plan for future changes to the website beyond the focus of day-to-day activities for improvement of the website as a whole.
- Assist with implementation of other Google tools available to non-profits such as ad words, etc.
- Report to Stan Kehl, ELAP Executive Director
Hours:
This volunteer position requires an average of eight to twelve hours per month. We ask for a minimum one year commitment.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to ELAP’s mission in promoting equal access to justice
- Webmasters certification, degree in related field or comparable experience
- Strong technical skills to ensure website performance via testing and other methods
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent familiarity with website management tools
- Ability to implement search engine optimization, marketing and security measures
