One of the many delicious desserts at the "Old World" Spaghetti Dinner fund-raiser during Literacy Month.

Thanks for your interest in The Central PA Literacy Council "4th Annual Old World Spaghetti Dinner" fundraiser which was Saturday, September 19, 2015. at the Lemoyne Borough Building Community Room, 510 Herman Avenue, Lemoyne, PA 17043.

But now we are intent in raising the rest of the $12,000 needed to serve Adult Learners in our communities. Perhaps you were not the server to offer great meatballs, homemade garlic butter for the rolls; a knock-down, drag out wonderful salad; or to take the ticket stub for the magnificent desserts.

Mission Statement

Central PA Literacy Council creates individualized intruction opportunities for Adults who want to improve their Reading, Mathematics, Writing, Speaking, English and Listening skills.

Description

Incorporated in 1972 and staffed by volunteer tutors, CPLC assesses busy Adults' academic status, and will contextualize instruction for Adults who have short and long term goals for employment, further academic or vocational attainment, a desire to pass the GED, attain citizenship and increase life skills.

Tutors and other volunteers are assigned to provide instruction with the consent of Adult Learners, at no cost, and according to the Adult Learners and available volunteers' time resources.
