Dedicate your time to not only helping to make a difference, but to help change the world. The American Youth Literacy Foundation is reversing the literacy crisis in the United States and creating a literate America for the 21st century and we want your help! Through our comprehensive strategies and reading ciriculumn we are on our way to reversing the literacy crisis.
We are looking for academically talented and socially compassionate adults who want to make a memorable and powerful contribution to children's literacy and help us transform the educational landscape in America. This opportunity is for caring adults who are able to take on a variety of projects and follow through to completion. Earn community service hours. Must be self motivated and willing to learn. This is a virtual opportunity and requires excellent communication skills (telephone and letter writing) and computer skills such as microsoft word and ideally excel and or powerpoint, and web skills such as search and willingness to learn your way around social media. The American Youth Literacy Foundation (Youth Lit), a Collegeville, PA-based 501 c 3 charitable non-profit is dedicated to insuring that ALL children learn how to read by the end of 5th grade and to fundamentally improving the way reading is taught in America.
