Come on out to Stewart Park in Roseburg on the second Saturday in September for The Blast! , a 5k Fun Run/Walk organized by Peer Power Prevention. The event includes live music and COLOR BLASTING!
The Blast is an event that supports Peer Power, a prevention program working throughout Douglas County, OR to educate, empower, and encourage youth and adults in order to prevent addiction and unhealthy behaviors such as substance abuse, suicide, problem gambling, bullying, and child abuse and neglect.
An event like this can't function without the involvement of our dedicated volunteers! We have a variety of volunteer positions and flexible scheduling options. Many of the avilable volunteer oppertunities are youth-approrpriate, as well, so this would be a great opportunity to get started on high school volunteering requirements for the school year!
Interested in being a part of this exciting event? Email or call volunteer coordinator Cati Adkins and sign up to volunteer today!
