Seeking daytime volunteers for in-school programs

We are seeking daytime volunteers to work with our in-School Discovery and Financial Literacy programs. For our Discovery program we are looking for adults with knowledge or experience related to education, tutoring and working with young students to improve reading and writing skills, and for older students, volunteers with experience with college application process and Higher Education and preferably those with experience or a background in Finance, Banking or Education; however we are open to all volunteers regardless of experience as long as you are willing to learn. We pay all background and clearances needed to volunteer in local schools.

We will be doing training sessions during the fall of 2019 to prepare volunteers for working with our schools in 2020.

Volunteers typically spend one day a week with the class they are working with, for a six-eight week program. There are also opportunities to do one-off workshops that only happen once.

Our mission at THE ONE LESS FOUNDATION is to help under-served members of the community become one less individual or family remaining in poverty by teaching financial education through seminars and classes and providing one-on-one mentoring and life coaching.
