(LGr813) How do you combine your knowledge of commercial real estate with your interest in education? Easy--consider a Board position at The Learning Gate--a not-for-profit agency that believes each child is a unique and very special person. We are pursuing the possibility of moving locations and even buying and/or building a new facility for our program. Help us continue our goal of making a 'home away from home' environment for all our children. The Board meets monthly in the evenings from 6-8 pm in Raritan, NJ.

Description
VMC provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages through our affiliation with over 500 not-for-profits, schools and government entities. VMC goes beyond matching to educating volunteers. Professional development is offered to volunteer managers, agency boards, and individuals wishing to serve on a not-for-profit board of directors. Business partnerships enable us to assist them in planning and executing volunteer projects. In addition, outreach and senior services are offered through friendly visiting and telephone reassurance programs.
