We are hosting our second annual American Parkinson's Optimism Walk on Sunday, September 14th at Seattle University Park. Proceeds will benefit Parkinson's research and patient education and support, both locally and nationally. Join us and help make our Walk possible! We need volunteers to help with set up, check-in and registration, distributing lunches, answering questions, directing walkers, and so on. Help make a difference in the lives of people living with Parkinson's, and their friends and families!

Description
The American Parkinson Disease Association is the country's largest grass roots organization serving the Parkinson's community.
Our core programs serve the Parkinson's community through education, support, and research. We provide education for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, as well as access to information and resources. We support our community through assistance programs like APDA Ride Ride Repay and the Caregiver's Day Off program. We strengthen the support group network and fund local activity classes. Lastly, we fund local research into the cause and cure for Parkinson's.
