Cords of Life Inc is building its Board. We are seeking committed individuals with a passion for helping displaced or low-income families. Boards members are required to:
- Attend all board and committee meetings and functions, such as special events.
- Be informed about the organization's mission, services, policies, and programs.
- Review agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings.
- Serve on committees or task forces and offer to take on special assignments.
- Make a personal financial contribution to the organization.
- Inform others about the organization.
- Keep up-to-date on developments in the organization's field.
- Follow conflict-of interest and confidentiality policies.
- Assist the board in carrying out its fiduciary responsibilities.
- And more.
- Pay monthly dues, minimum of $20.00
- Participate in year round fundraising

Description
Cords of Life believes it is possible for a person to transcend their cultural conditioning and become productive members of society. We work with our clients to help them discover their life's vocation, calling, destiny and/or purpose. Our goal is not only to supply housing and social support, but to also restore the whole person: mind, body and spirit. We empower them with the tools they need to begin a journey of independence, self-improvement and self-sufficiency through several comprehensive services including: family support services, life skills training, job readiness training, GED programs, money management, counseling services, job retention and placement services and more.
