Volunteers needed for Equine Assisted Therapy program in Madison at the Shoreline Equestrian Center through Animal Assisted Therapy Services, Inc.
Folks with extensive horse experience can assist grooming, tacking and leading the horse during lessons.
Folks without horse experience can serve as side walkers and assist riders to complete tasks. Teachers, therapists, high school/college students are ideal side walkers.
Program serves children and adults with physical, cognitive and psychosocial disabilities. The horses provide a powerful intervention!

Animal Assisted Therapy Services provides both canine and equine assisted therapy for adults and children who have experienced trauma, or have cognitive or physical disabilities.
