Do you want to make an impact on a student's life? Become a volunteer homework helper at Simi Valley Public Library and make a real difference! We need friendly and responsible volunteers to assist with homework for grades K-5, on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30pm through the end of May. Seeking volunteers who have a passion for learning and experience tutoring children. We need volunteers with skills in any of the following subjects: English, basic writing, computer, social studies, science and math. Must be patient, flexible and able to explain clearly but not do the work for the students. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve as a positive role model for a young child. Students earn community service credit.

Description
The Simi Valley Public Library offers its patrons of all ages the opportunity for lifelong learning through 28 public access computers, free wi-fi, access to a collection of over 2 million items from over 40 libraries in southern California, many quiet areas ( inside and outside the building), an informative webpage, free public events, and community room available for rent.
