Volunteer docents needed!

Do you have a love for art and culture? Would you like to share your passion with the community? MUZEO Museum and Cultural Center is looking for reliable, outgoing people-persons who want to share their love of learning with our visitors.

Volunteer docents lead tours through our exhibits which have ranged from Roman antiquities to Chicano art to Frogs to King Tut. Docents also represent the museum at special events like the Downtown Anaheim Art Crawl Experience or VIP receptions when new exhibits open. In addition to this, docents work with school children visiting the museum on field trips; after a gallery tour, a docent might show children objects on our touch cart, or lead children in an arts and crafts activity.

MUZEO is open daily from 10:00 to 5:00, so prospective docents must be available at least one day a week during those hours. The Muzeo needs docents during the weekdays between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We have regular public tours on a daily basis, and for special events, docents may be required to work on a weekend evening.

Docents who accumulate at least 100 volunteer hours during a calendar year are honored at a recognition luncheon by the City of Anaheim. In addition, MUZEO Docents receive a staff discount in the Museum Gift Store, as well as complementary passes.
