The American Cancer Society has many opportunities to help fight cancer. You can help a cancer patient get to their appointments through our Road to Recovery program. You can provide emotional support to a woman facing breast cancer through Reach to Recovery. You can bring comfort and resources to cancer patients during their treatments as a Cancer Resource Center Volunteer. You can bring laughter and light to women fighting cancer by teaching a free makeup class called Look Good Feel Better.

Description
The American Cancer Society is the nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service. The Society maintains a 24/hour 365/day/year hotline to live, well trained volunteers. The hotline helps people confronting cancer, or their loved ones, find information, get referrals to local providers, and discover support programs to assist them
