Inside Sort Volunteers:
- Sorting requires a keen eye for detail as well as a keen eye to spot hidden treasures!
- There are three inside sorter positions:
o Clothing Sorters will check donated clothing for odor, stains, rips, missing buttons, broken zippers, pet hair, and name brand items and will sort according to the guidelines. We only take the best!
o Housewares Sorters are experienced with or have an eye for valuable items - whether they’re antique, retro, trendy, or just plain cool - and sort through non-clothing donations. Our housewares sorters must find the diamonds in the rough and be looking for one-of-a-kind and unique items. These volunteers ensure there are no chips, cracks, broken parts and pieces of any kind and sort according to the guidelines.
o Jewelry Sorters verify whether or not jewelry is made with precious metals or gems, separating these items from costume jewelry. Is something broken? Can we fix it? Can we use its parts to create something else? Decisions will need to be made - is this you?
Volunteers must be at least 16 years oldCurrent volunteer hours are 11am-4pm, Mon-Sat (until store opening)
