Do you enjoy discussion groups? Join our team of volunteers who lead lively discussions with small groups of visually impaired adults. Current Events, History, Sports, or maybe you have a special field about which you would like to talk about starting a discussion group! Training will include observing a few classes already in place, and then substituting a few times. If you're interested in having your own class, we can talk about your idea! Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 2:00 p.m., and are 50 minutes long. A six month commitment, two hours per week is required.

Mission Statement
Braille Institute is a nonprofit organization that embraces the challenge of sight loss in all its facets and rejects its perceived limitations, with the belief that vision rehabilitation is a beginning, not an end.
Description
Braille Institute offers a variety of services to people who are blind and visually impaired, from mobility and technology training, to low vision rehabilitation and home visits, to arts and exercise classes, to a vast library of braille and audio titles for every age, and more.
