At the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, Humane Education is one of the most important programs we offer. Educating young children about animal welfare offers a sustainable solution to the problems we face. Training for one-time lessons such as school assemblies or field trips, or visits to area camps, can be done on the job. The formal classroom Humane Education program is a seven-part series of lessons in an assigned Aiken County elementary school classroom. Commitment to this program needs to be made before the beginning of the school year so that you can attend Humane Ed orientation and training. This volunteer opportunity requires no previous teaching experience and is one of the most rewarding programs we have.

To get started, please complete our online volunteer application and then register for and attend a volunteer orientation session. http://spca-albrecht.org/Volunteer.php
