****This is an unpaid intern position**** The application deadline is April 30th. Internship runs from May to July/August.
Assist Early Head Start Family Educators by supporting them during case management involvement with families which includes phone calls, outreach services, child & parent education, goal setting, family assessment, and completing all program paperwork; Shadow Early Head Start Family Educators during home visits, parent & child involvement activities including but not limited to playgroups and family outings; Refer families to appropriate community agencies; Participate in annual recruitment activities; Attend required meetings and trainings; Support Program Governance activities Assist Early Head Start Family Educators as needed in maintaining participant files including but not limited to documentation of home visits and planned activities for families; Enter services provided into Early Head Start database; Clerical duties Perform other duties as assigned by Early Head Start Educator(s) or Program Supervisor.

Established in 1965, Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties Community Action empowers people living in poverty to reach economic stability. We offer 16 unique programs to ensure that everyone, regardless of their economic situation, has the opportunity to thrive.
Last year, Community Action served 17,805 individuals and families. Our high-quality early childhood education programs ensure that our community's most vulnerable children are ready for kindergarten, and more likely to graduate from high school. Families learn and save in our matched savings program as they work to purchase their first home, launch or expand a business, or continue their education. At Community Action, individuals build their skills in orer to acheive meaningful employment. We offer the critical next steps in establishing and maintaining long-term economic stability.
Our participants are remarkable people. They take responsibility for making lasting changes in their lives by making use of their own unique strengths. As a result, they are better able to manage their living situations, and make positive steps toward economic stability.
