Northern Shenandoah Valley Financial Education Program

Would you like to get financial management training, build your resume, acquire new skills, make favorable work references or just help strengthen your community?

Get involved! Join our team of Master Financial Educators!

Our family financial management programs help Virginians learn how to manage their finances effectively. Programs for budgeting, improving credit scores, planning for home ownership, reducing debt, and preventing identity theft help secure healthy financial futures for Virginia’s families.

Master Financial Education Volunteers (MFEVs) receive training on topics such as savings and investments, mortgages, making a spending plan, managing your credit and much, much more. These tools allow the volunteers to improve the financial capability of those in the community through classroom sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and established Virginia Cooperative Extension programs.
