Get involved! Join our team of Master Financial Educators!
Our family financial management programs help Virginians learn how to manage their finances effectively. Programs for budgeting, improving credit scores, planning for home ownership, reducing debt, and preventing identity theft help secure healthy financial futures for Virginia’s families.
Master Financial Education Volunteers (MFEVs) receive training on topics such as savings and investments, mortgages, making a spending plan, managing your credit and much, much more. These tools allow the volunteers to improve the financial capability of those in the community through classroom sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and established Virginia Cooperative Extension programs.

Description
Within Virginia Cooperative Extension, Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) programs focus on improving the lives of individuals and families. FCS Agents help Virginians learn to make positive choices for themselves and their families in the areas of family financial management, nutrition and wellness, and family and child development. Our family financial management programs help Virginians learn how to manage their finances effectively. Programs related to budgeting, improving credit scores, planning for home ownership, reducing debt, and preventing identity theft help secure healthy financial futures for Virginia's families.
