The American Lung Association (ALA) is coordinating with the YMCA and Boys and Girls Clubs to run some asthma-related activities for the kids during their summer camps this year. We need a few volunteers to make this a strong event! The ages of the kids are approximately 6 to 12 years old.
In order to volunteer for any of these events, you must first attend a short orientation at the American Lung Association office.
We need volunteers for the following:
-Help set up and lead the activities on camp days, and clean up after activities
-Provide any ideas for activities or games (making sure they are low or no cost)
-Teach a very short (about 5-10 minutes), interactive lesson about an asthma topic before the games. Volunteers teaching a lesson need to attend a short meeting at our office prior to the event run through the program.
