Are you a cat lover? Do you love playing with kittens and cats? Do you have a desire to help ensure a high standard of cleanliness and care for the up to 30 cats at the adoption center? Do you have a couple hours each week to share?
Typical time committment: M-F 8-10 Weekend 9-10:30
What A wonderful opportuity to volunteer with a friend and meet other pet lovers!
Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. is a cage-free shelter in Neenah and is seeking cat room cleaning attendants at our adoption center in Neenah, Wisconsin to help approximately one or two mornings per week. Our kitties live in rooms of approximately 5 kitties.
Bring your energy and share 1-2 hours of your time per shift to do a thorough cleaning of each room:
- wiping down surfaces
- cleaning litterboxes
- refreshing food/ water supply
- play with the cats to provide exercise, mental stimulation, and socialization
- clipping nails
- brushing cats
- maintain a high standard of care for the many cats who call the adoption center home until they find their forever homes
Orphan Animal Rescue relies solely on volunteers to feed, clean, care for the cats in our Adoption Center on Commercial St in Neenah. We have volunteers come in twice a day, 7 days week, 52 weeks a year!
It takes about hour and half for two volunteers to take care of business at the center when coming in to volunteer. The cats are fed, litter is scooped, rooms are cleaned. THEN, the volunteers love to take time to brush, pet, and play with the cats. There are some volunteers who take much longer with the latter, since they enjoy it so much.
The morning crews are approximately 8-10 am and you would be volunteering with an experienced person. I look forward to hearing from you. We'd love to have your help.
Kitty purrs, love and headbutts are only some of the rewards you'll earn in this volunteer role.

Mission Statement
Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary rescues, rehabilitates and finds homes for pets in need, one at a time. At the adoption center, our focus is primarily cats, who enjoy a cage-free life here. Dogs (and some cats) live with our foster home volunteers until finding a home of their own.
Our focus is to save the lives of animals one at a time, working primarily with overcrowded shelters. We do not accept public surrenders. We provide compassion, love and the highest quality of care for each animal in a comfortable environment, and work to find a suitable adopter for each pet.
Description
Orphan Animal Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc. is a nonprofit, no-kill, volunteer-driven 501 (c)(3) animal rescue that consists of a humble pet adoption center, a network of foster care homes and community partners in Northeast Wisconsin.
We were founded in September 2008 by animal lovers who saw the need within the Fox Cities community to save the lives of more homeless pets and move toward a future in which there are no more homeless pets in Wisconsin.
We primarily help cats and kittens but also help dogs as capacity is available.
The pets we help primarily come from other local rescue groups and humane organizations when they need help or are over-capacity. We pride ourselves on the high standards of quality care we provide to each and every animal. We feed quality foods and adhere to high standards to ensure the best medical care is given to all the pets in our care.
We receive no funding; we rely completely on donations and fundraising efforts to save the lives of the homeless pets in our care. There is always have a waiting list of pets in need.
Our goal is to spread education and our compassion to the community to create actionable impact. Through the development of educational and outreach initiatives, we reach the community with our message about the importance of spaying and neutering and treating animal companions with respect and dignity.
With your help, we can create a network of animal lovers who will change the world--one homeless pet and one person at a time.
