ORGANIZATION: Memorial Assistance Ministries

Job Summary: The Interviewer is responsible for the determination of client needs,

MAM’s ability to meet that need (dollar assistance determination, voucher etc) and the coordination of delivery of assistance.

Responsibilities: meet with client individually.

Ask questions necessary to determine client need and eligibility.

Complete data base assessments to document services and eligibility.

Follow up with landlords, creditors, etc. to determine validity of need and creditor willingness to work with MAM.

Explain voucher/payment system to client.

Make determination as to whether or not client qualifies for special grant (ESG, etc). Refer to special grants counselor as needed.

Provide referral information for other area support services as needed.

Refer to Employment Services orientation and counselor.

Qualifications: commitment to the MAM mission.

Ability to work with persons of all walks of life and treat them with dignity. Discernment, good judgement, patience.

Ability and willingness to follow procedure and protocols.

College level education or equivalent preferred.

Basic computer skills for data input.

Ability to speak Spanish helpful.

Sense of humor.
