The Woodburn Aquatic Center is seeking a water fitness instructor to teach classes varying in type and skill level, 1-5 hours a week, and does require some experience in fitness instruction or willingness to be trained. Volunteer swim instructors are also being sought for 3-10 hours per week to instruct students in swimming utilizing the center's curriculum. This volunteer position does require some experience in swim instruction or a willingness to be trained. A nationwide volunteer program, RSVP invites adults 55 and over to use their life experience and skills to benefit and support organizations and non-profits in their community through volunteer service.
Description
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from one to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, senior centers, police departments, libraries and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
