Are you interested in helping families that have been directly affected by Alzheimer's disease? Are you a good listener and have effective communication skills? Join our Volunteer Support Group Facilitator Team and lead a caregiver support group and providing much needed emotional support. Group leadership training skills and education about Alzheimer's and dementia will be provided; all you need is the desire to help.
- Active listening skills
- Empathy for individuals and families struggling with the disease
- 2 hrs per month minimum
- Training provided
- Personal or professional caregiving experience with persons with dementia
