The Stand Against MS

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National MS Society - Alabama-Louisiana-Mississippi

Since 2004 The Stand Against MS has been a summertime tradition. Families and friends set up old-fashioned lemonade stands with Sun Fresh lemonade provided by Buffalo Rock and cookies provided by Bud’s Best Cookies in exchange for donations to The National MS Society.

All we ask is you come by and pick up the free product at our office in Birmingham. You will receive 9-12 packs of Sun Fresh lemonade and 120 bags of Buds Best cookies, up to 4 kids tshirts, donation jar, banner, street sign, information packet with flyers and thank you notes. We do ask for you to return the proceeds in the jar, banner and street sign. You can host a virtual Stand too!

Hosting a stand will help kids go to camp this summer who are affected by MS. Lets Stand Against MS together!

Mission Statement

To end the devastating effects of MS

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers key fundraising activities such as The MS150 Bike Ride, MS Walk and Stand Against MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
