We are looking for exceptional individuals to join our Board of Trustee. If you are committed to our mission, ready to take on a leadership position, and want to help lead a growing organization, we encourage you to apply. As a working board, we are seeking new members who can actively engage in and lead efforts to shape and strengthen our programmatic direction, strategic vision, financial stability, and community presence.
Board members are expected to:
- Commit to a three year term, which can be renewed upon Board approval
- Participate in monthly board meetings (twelve 90 minute monthly board meetings via conference call or in-person)
- Be an active participant in all meetings and take initiative when possible
- Serve on at least one committee and participate in related meetings/calls
- Be an advocate for HSFN and raise awareness for our work
- Make a financial commitment of an amount determined by you

Mission Statement
Established in 1900, the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, HSFN, is a registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with a staff of approximately 25 people who, along with volunteers, help care for and raise needed funds for the three thousand animals that pass through our doors each year. We are overseen by a volunteer Board of Trustees, providing oversight and guidance. HSFN serves a variety of communities throughout the New England region. Our services include canine, feline and small animal adoption, behavior training, low cost spay, neutering and vaccinations as well as low cost end of life services. HSFN has maintained a pet cemetery since 1930 with a few thousand burials since inception. Some historical animals are buried in the "Proctor Cemetery". We also have a number of childhood educational programs and a variety of special fund raising events throughout the year.
Description
The Humane Society for Greater Nashua has been in the city of Nashua, NH for over 100 years. We are a small shelter with great staff and volunteers. Since we are a non-profit organization, we rely greatly on volunteers to help us a make difference in the lives of our animals.
