The mission of ACMHS is to promote recovery and wellness by providing consumer -driven behavioral health care services. Our ability to provide a variety of services to individuals of all ages would not be possible without the generous time dedicated by community volunteers. Individuals with a range of skill sets are needed to support the organization through various opportunities.

We are seeking active involved members of the Anchorage community, especially those receiving services or with close connections to people receiving services through ACMHS, and community partner agencies. Advisory council .

Serving on an Advisory Council in one of three key treatment areas - Seniors, Adults, Children/Family (Quarterly Meetings for approximately 2 hours) ACMHS Board of Directors volunteers are responsible for strategically guiding ACMHS, ensuring sound financial practices, and advocating for quality mental health services. No previous board volunteer experience needed. We are looking for individuals committed to ending the stigma of mental illness and promoting recovery and wellness. The time commitment for Board members varies beginning at five hours per month for committee and regular Board meetings.
