CST Front Office Volunteers:

Do you enjoy talking to other people from all over the world? Do you have a passion in human rights or global issues? Are you a multi-tasker? If so, join CST as a Front Office volunteer!

Duties:

  • Answer front door to greet clients, provide hospitality to clients by offering them something to drink and letting counselor know their next appointment is ready. Converse with clients while they wait for the appointments (clients love practicing English!)
  • Answer phones and relay messages to appropriate person. Assist with clerical tasks such as restocking, building client charts, filing, label-making and other various clerical tasks.
  • Organize and put away weekly donations.

Schedule:

Shifts available Monday-Thursday: 10:00-2:00

Requirements:

Able to interact with people from different cultures. Able to multi-task and complete basic clerical tasks. Speak fluent English. Other language knowledge a plus! All volunteers must pass a background check. Knowledge of Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google calendar.

CST is a Texas non-profit organization that provides free mental health,
social, and medical services, to survivors of trauma and torture.
CST aims to improve significantly the lives of refugee clients, not just in
terms of health, but also basic needs such as housing, clothing, employment
opportunities, community and social involvement. With this holistic
approach, CST facilitates healing, eases transition, and fosters hope for
our clients.
