Description

1. Veterans Legal Clinic:

The Veterans Legal Clinic uses the self help method of resolving legal issues getting the veteran to empower themselves in resolving their legal issues with the assistance of licensed volunteer attorneys. The intake is held every third Saturday of the month at the Mission Valley VFW Post 3787 located at Twain Ave. The common issues we commonly see are: Landlord Tenant Issues, Family Law Cases, Expungement of Criminal Records, VA Disability Upgrades, Security Clearances, Credit Repair, and Wills & Trusts. The sign up fills for the clinic early so sign up in well in advance.

2. Veterans Mentorship Program:

Pairs-up active duty military personnel and recently discharged veterans transitioning into civilian life with a mentor in an occupation or business in which the veteran is interested. HRT provides forums, social mixers, and networking opportunities that allow veterans easy access to role models and established community-based leaders, leading to professional growth and employment opportunities.

3. Veterans Seminar Programs:

HRT offers FREE seminars and educational events to educate veterans about utilizing benefits they have earned. All to often veterans on average only uses less than 14% of all VA benefits they have earned. We offer seminar throughout the year such as: VA Home Loans with no money down, Be Smart in Divorce, Family Trust Planning, and our high in demand Veterans Employment seminar.

4. Veterans Entrepreneurs Today (V.E.T.) Programs:

Unprecedented numbers of veterans are re-entering the job market since the wind ups of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Veteran unemployment is as high as 17% and a solution for this is for veterans to create their own jobs through entrepreneurship. Our programs offers FREE training for veterans through a 12 week program and (6) months of additional follow on support and mentoring.
