ORGANIZATION: Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity

  • 2 people are interested

At Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity, we do more than build houses; we provide homes and stability for families and communities. If you are interested in supporting our mission, but don't want to work on a construction site, you can get involved by providing office support in our Holland office.

Tasks include taking and directing phone calls, greeting and directing visitors, data entry, mailings, and other general office duties. We are ideally seeking someone comfortable with phones and computers, and data entry experience is a plus. This is a great way to gain office experience in the non-profit sector.

Time Required:

Approximate Hours: Minimum 4 hours/week; Office hours 9-4, volunteer hours are flexible and can be worked out with Volunteer Coordinator

Length of Commitment: Ongoing, short or long term (prefer minimum 3 month committment)

Days of the Week: Currently looking for front desk general office help on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays

Responsibilities (list the tasks):

  1. Filing
  2. Taking and Directing Calls
  3. Data entry and management
  4. Other duties as assigned

This is a volunteer, unpaid position. We also have unpaid office internship positions available. Please see alternative listings for Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity.

If interested, contact Stacey Korecki, Volunteer Coordinator, at volunteer@lakshorehabitat.org.

  • We have been affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International since November 1990.
  • We will have served 117 families, building and restoring 117 homes by the end of 2011, bettering the lives of hundreds of children in the area.
  • It takes over 2,000 volunteer hours to build a house.
  • There are over 80 ways that volunteers may serve Lakeshore Habitat.
