On the 4th Wednesday in August (August 23, 2017), the Durham Rescue Mission will host a free Annual Back to School Party and Backpack Give-Away. During this event, we will serve BBQ and hot dogs, give away free clothing, free groceries, and free backpacks filled with school supplies for children who are accompanied by an adult. The day is filled with fun activities and carnival games for children. YOU are NEEDED as a volunteer, to be a part of this rewarding opportunity.
If you need help preparing your children for school, we invite you to be our GUEST and join us at 1201 East Main Street, Durham, NC, for our Back to School Party. If you would like to volunteer, please call one of our Volunteer Assistants at 919-688-9641 ext.5025. Please conduct a sign-up for all people who will COMMIT within your GROUP, then call us with those names before the end of July.

Description
Gospel Rescue Mission providing the homeless and needy with food, shelter, clothing, Biblical counsel, medical assistance, educational and vocational help. We have 5 Locations: Men's Division, Women's Division (Good Samaritan Inn), Thrift Store on Hwy 55, Thrift Store on Glenwood Avenue, and Thrift Store on Chapel Hill Blvd.
