We are currently looking for a Caregiver Relief Companion Volunteer to keep a hospice patient company in their own home in the Dogtown area (St. Louis, MO 63139). Caregiver Relief Volunteers allow caregivers to take a small break so they can make appointments, go shopping and and run errands outside the home. Caregiver Relief Companionship Volunteers provide non-medical services and visits to patients on hospice. Caregiver Relief Volunteer Visits are provided in 1 to 2 hour shifts. Any time you have available to contribute is greatly appreciated. A Caregiver Relief volunteer is needed specifically on Sunday mornings anytime from 9:30am to Noon. During visits, volunteers can read to patients, write letters for them, play music, games, provide companionship and share conversation. Comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering is provided.
