If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, become a Girl Scout of Citrus Council (GSCC) volunteer today. Girl Scout of Citrus Council serves 17,000 girls in Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia and Brevard Counties every year. We are in need of trustworthy, reliable and compassionate adult leaders to guide the thousands more who are excited to take part in a unique leadership experience only Girl Scouts can provide. Volunteering for Girl Scout of Citrus Council can be as traditional as running your own troop and as progressive as hosting short-term series events on topics, such as health and fitness, arts and culture and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Responsibilities and Duties
An Adult Volunteer must be able to deliver 8 hours of programming within a 4 month period. You will be asked to run Council-approved games, activities, experiments, etc. with groups of young women that support our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. You will have the option of working with older or younger girls ranging from grades K through 12. Meeting dates, times, locations, frequencies and durations are flexible.
Qualifications
An ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Patience and the ability to work well with girls and/or other adults
- Acceptance of people of all races, creeds, nationalities and learning or physical abilities
- Punctuality and reliability
- Support of the Girl Scout Mission and belief in the power of girls
Training
All volunteers will be trained and supported by our staff, who will provide materials, activities and approved curriculum for use in planning short or long-term volunteer positions.

Girl Scouts of Citrus was chartered in 1956 and serves girls and adult volunteers throughout Central Florida.
