There is amazing healing power in authentic human touch. At Fidelis Hospice, we know that authentic, caring touch is vital to quality care of people and their families living with a life-limiting illness. As a Reiki practitioner, you can bring that healing power to people at a time when they desperately need it. In addition to Reiki, volunteers may play cards, talk with, watch TV together...or simply just sit quietly. Whatever you do, your presence provides much needed companionship and caring. A free, comprehensive training and on-going support are provided to insure both you and our patients have a meaningful experience. So this autumn, why not fall into hospice volunteering? At Fidelis Hospice, our primary goals are to provide comfort and promote the dignity of the terminally ill while relieving physical, emotional and spiritual suffering. Our care is provided in the home, nursing home, assisted living facility or wherever our patients call home. We offer an holistic approach to care provided by a dedicated team of caring professionals led by a physician which includes a nurse, social worker, chaplain, hospice aide and volunteer!
