By driving.
A local food bank needs someone to drive their small truck on a weekly basis to pick up donations. You need to be able to lift and carry 30lbs, have a current drivers license, and recognize that getting in and out of the truck several times a shift is part of the job.

The job is driving to grocery stores and food drives, picking up donations, bringing the food back, unloading it, weighing it and recording the information. Occasionally you would take food to other organizations or individuals.

The most urgent need right now is for Monday morning (8:30-10:30). Other shifts are every other Thursday from 9-12 noon and alternate Tuesdays also from 9-12 noon. Some additional training is needed. Must be able to work well with others, understand that work priorities may change rapidly and be a team player.

This opportunity is posted by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Snohomish County, working to help those over 55 find meaningful and rewarding volunteer work.

The address listed is not the location of the volunteer opportunity. If you decide to become involved RSVP will furnish that information.
