Hospice of Kitsap County

Hospice of Kitsap County is looking for dedicated volunteers to give of their time and talents to make a difference in our community. Hospice volunteers are integral members of the hospice team who commit to volunteering for four hours per week for a minimum of six months. These special individuals work side by side with dedicated hospice professionals and make a difference in the lives of our patients, their caregivers and family members.

The heart of any Hospice is truly the Patient Support Volunteers who give unselfishly of their time and talent. Our volunteers are citizens of our community who share a common bond- a desire to help provide the terminally ill comfort and compassion during their final days, and give respite to family caregivers. All volunteers are required to log their volunteer notes and their time spent on our online computer system. Training in logging in notes and volunteer time is provided. Patient support volunteeers are required to attend a Volunteer Orientation course before working with patients. Volunteers need to be computer literate and aged 18 and over.
