Forbes Hospice volunteers enhance our program through their tireless commitment to the patients and families we serve. Forbes Hospice has extensive volunteer training and regards volunteers as essential in carrying out our mission. Volunteers are involved in every aspect of the hospice program, including home visiting, inpatient care, 11th hour program, spiritual care, nursing home visits, bereavement support, administrative support and fundraising. We need you to help us make a difference in the lives of everyone we touch. Please join us.

The mission of Forbes Hospice is to preserve dignity in the last stages of life through the provision of state-of-the-art care to patients and families in our service area, and to support education and research which advances the delivery of care for the terminally ill.
Description
Forbes Hospice is the oldest and most trusted nonprofit hospice and palliative care program in the Pittsburgh region. We have a wealth of experience in delivering comprehensive hospice care to the community and feature nationally-recognized leadership, including a full-time medical director who is board certified in hospice and palliative medicine and who can make house calls in patient’s homes or in the healthcare facilities in which they reside.
