VIP volunteers provide one-on-one and small group in-person and virtual instruction to children in grades K-8 during the school day, after school, and during the summer. Volunteers are paired with teachers based on their interests and schedules and receive the training needed to become effective, confident tutors. Opportunities may currently be available at many of our elementary and middle schools.
Our VIPs recommend the program to friends and family. Find out why. Prospective VIPs are invited to attend a volunteer orientation to learn more. The mission of the Volunteer in Paradise program in the Paradise Valley Unified School District is to increase student achievement by providing instructional assistance and the individual attention of dedicated, high-quality volunteers while also promoting positive school and community partnerships.
Description
