POSITION PURPOSE:
To provide support to the Collections Department by caring for blood donors after their donations and contributing to the upkeep of the canteen area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Prepare the canteen area for donors, including making beverages and setting out snacks.
2) Greet donors after their donations.
3) Serve refreshments to donors while they are in the canteen
4) Watch for signs that the donor doesn't feel well.
5) Alert center collections staff if a donor is not feeling well.
6) Recognize donors by providing stickers and gallon pins when appropriate.
7) Manage donor literature and promotional materials.
8) Contribute to the upkeep of the canteen area.
REPORTS TO:
Volunteer Recruitment Rep. / Center Manager
HOURS OF WORK:
Sunday - Saturday, hours vary
