Would you like to help refugees from Burma, Iraq, Congo, and Sudan learn English? Each week CWS provides ESL classes to refugee clients in Durham, Chapel Hill, and Carrboro so that they can feel safe and welcome here in North Carolina. You can help with this important work by serving as an ESL Teaching Assistant. TA's work one and one and in small groups with refugees to help them sharpen their English speaking, reading, and writing skills. No prior teaching experience required!

Our office welcomes refugees and immigrants from around the world into lives of freedom, hope, and opportunity in the Triangle, connecting them with community resources in order to meet their immediate needs and to promote long-term self-sufficiency.
Description
We provide refugee and asylee clients with case management services, immigration legal services, English language classes, and assistance with the employment search process. We always welcome volunteers and community partners to assist us with welcoming refugees and immigrants to their new home in the Triangle.
