The Asset Development Assistant will assist the Asset Development Administrator by conducting orientation and client registration, data entry, filing client documentation, assisting with direct client services including economic literacy training and one-on-one counseling, and writing case notes. They will be responsible for some data entry and organization of files for clients served by the Community Action Asset Development Program by entering client-level data into an online database for purpose of federal reporting and compliance.

1. Provide eligibility and general program information to potential IDA program participants.

2. Assist IDA Coordinator during outreach presentations as needed; prepare information flyers on the IDA program and disseminate them among potential participants in the community.

3. Assist in screening and enrolling IDA participants: provide IDA program information, confirm IDA program eligibility, assist participant with registration form, make copies of any documents and schedule orientation appointment with IDA Coordinator.

4. Enter client data into the IDA database system including case notes about IDA services provided.

5. Assist the IDA Coordinator during the orientation and the registration of IDA participants.

6. Assist IDA clients with any issues they may have in the absence of the IDA Coordinator.

7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Last year, Community Action served 17,805 individuals and families. Our high-quality early childhood education programs ensure that our community's most vulnerable children are ready for kindergarten, and more likely to graduate from high school. Families learn and save in our matched savings program as they work to purchase their first home, launch or expand a business, or continue their education. At Community Action, individuals build their skills in orer to acheive meaningful employment. We offer the critical next steps in establishing and maintaining long-term economic stability.

Our participants are remarkable people. They take responsibility for making lasting changes in their lives by making use of their own unique strengths. As a result, they are better able to manage their living situations, and make positive steps toward economic stability.
