At the heart of our mission... is you the volunteer. Making deliveries is a valuable way to volunteer. Another fun way to volunteer is to organize and lead a collection effort. If you are passionate about our mission to help the homeless with gloves and socks, then you have what it takes to be an active Donation Drive Leader.
HandsNFeet Foundation will customize a flyer that you can use to get the word out about your donation drive. HandsNFeet Foundation can provide you with nice boxes for your collections. We know from experience that if a box is placed in a highly visible area with repeat visitors...and the collection drive is promoted by a passionate drive leader, then you may see 200 to 600 items donated over a 4 week period. There is no magic number...we are all just doing good work that benefits our neighbors in need.

Mission Statement
HandsNFeet Foundation is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit operation in Charlotte, North Carolina that serves to bring added warmth to our neighbors in need throughout the Greater Charlotte region through the distribution of outerwear accessories. We strive for the highest level of financial integrity and operation with 100% unpaid volunteers.
The HandsNFeet Foundation was established in 2011 by the senior management team at Flores & Associates in their pursuit of a 'hands-on’ Christmas Project for their employees to participate in during the holiday season. Through the input of one of our staff members, we decided to create our own foundation as a way to engage our employees, clients, friends and other concerned parties in an ongoing community outreach effort.
This small act of providing a pair of gloves or a pair of socks to those in need was the catalyst to create the Hands N Feet Foundation as the vehicle to help those less fortunate stay warm and give them a sense of self worth from people that do care about them and our community. A simple personal story of how one employee reached out to help the homeless was our inspiration in creating this worthwhile and caring foundation.
Description
HandsNFeet Foundation collects donations of gloves/socks and similar items along with dollars. We use money donated to purchase gloves and socks efficiently. Our items are then distributed through agencies that support our homeless neighbors with meaningful programs working to end homelessness. In Charlotte, NC we support Crisis Assistance Ministry, A Child's Place, Urban Ministry Center, Charlotte Rescue Mission and McKinney Vento students in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools....and the list is growing. We fill a void where the agencies have a need for gloves and socks, however these are rarely donated and can't be purchased with agency dollars.
Fresh socks and gloves make a difference in the cold months, and the homeless need socks all year long. HandsNFeet Foundation is active 365 days per year.
