Volunteers provide a friendly caring walking escort or wheelchair transport for patients and guests throughout the facility. Volunteers enhance a positive patient care environment to help provide a superior patient experience.
- Provide information and service to patients and families.
- Run errands and deliver items throughout facility such as medications from Pharmacy.
- Assist patients with signing up on MyChart.
- Create friendly conversation to put patients and visitors at ease.
- Tend to patient's non-medical needs; Adjust a thermostat, bring a warm blanket, light refreshment or something to read/watch while waiting for or receiving treatment,.
- Follow-up appropriately to resolve patient concerns.
